The Salon: Black Women, Hair and Heritage – Friday, 13 March 2020, Brighton

Korantema is a curator and producer, working in heritage and the arts. Following on from her MA in Cultural Heritage where she researched Black women’s relationship with hair throughout history, Korantema curated an exhibition and series of events exploring hair as part of the London Borough of Culture. Her work has been included in the Migration Museum and Hackney Museum, and her project won a ‘Making History’ Award from the Mayor of London in 2019.
